  • Glasgow Scientific Services win Prestigious Contract

Glasgow Scientific Services has been awarded the contract to provide 24/7 emergency response and training to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Having served the former Strathclyde Fire Service for more than 30 years, this extension to cover the entire country is a major achievement for the service and includes an annual training programme for 62 senior fire officers across the three service delivery areas. With mutual aid agreements now being formalised, the response to hazardous material incidents will now extend to the north of England. Somewhere in the region of 200 incidents occur across Scotland every year and monitoring equipment is deployed via five mobile laboratories, strategically located across the country.
