Glasgow Scientific Services are proud to announce that two of their young scientists, Rebecca Lindsay and Rhobbie Wilkie, have jointly been awarded UK Registered Science Technician of the Year 2015 by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

The Royal Society of Chemistry awarded this honour in recognition of Rebecca and Rhobbie’s diversity of knowledge, their professionalism, the quality of their application and their inspiring and enthusiastic qualities. Their submissions made it impossible to choose between them so for the first time a joint award was made. The assessors came to this decision after much consideration and felt not only are they inspiring technicians, they are both exceptional role models for anyone considering an apprenticeship in science.

Rebecca and Rhobbie will both receive £1000 in training vouchers to help them realise their professional ambitions. They have both been invited to a presentation by the president of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Dominic Tildesley, at the Prize Ceremony during the RSC General Assembly Dinner on Friday 13th of November in Manchester.
