Analysis and Examination of Foods 2008, University of Reading

From: Michael Walker, APA Training Officer

The next annual course at the University of Reading will take place in the week of 7 - 11 April 2008. This informative and very enjoyable (though demanding) week of lectures and interactive workshops is highly recommended by the APA Training Committee. It is excellent training for work in food, feed and fertiliser enforcement analysis and essential preparation for those intending to sit the statutory qualification examinations for Mastership in Chemical Analysis administered by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

As you may know, the programme is on a two year rolling cycle, so those delegates who attended in 2007 will find this course particularly useful.

Owing to the generous sponsorship of the Food Standards Agency the course will again be free to the first delegate from each UK Official Food Control (Public Analyst) laboratory site. If there are any spare places, these will be offered at £750 for subsequent delegates from OFC (PA) labs or £895 per person for non OFC (PA) labs. This course will be very popular. Places will be strictly limited to 20, and the course was fully subscribed in 2007. Please ensure that you apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
