Highly motivated, enthusiastic individual required to head-up section in busy, forward-looking Public Analyst laboratory. The laboratory is a brand new purpose built facility situated in the heart of Dundee's high profile scientific community. Initially, primarily based in the Consumer Protection section dealing with toys, cosmetics, household products, other consumer products and environmental samples etc, there will be ample opportunity to become involved in all sections of the department dealing with food, water and asbestos.
You will have an Honours Degree, or equivalent, in Chemistry and CChem MRSC and have experience, some of which should be at a supervisory level, in a UKAS or similarly accredited laboratory.
Experience of a broad range of analytical techniques is essential and experience in the use of a LIMS system is desirable. Good organisational skills, communication skills and the ability to motivate staff are essential for the post.
